Thanks for all your input! I've tried loads of pianos and have settled on the Boston. It is no less than stunning. smile

I'm going to schedule the tuning for 3-4 weeks out. I'd post a picture but don't know how. frown

Couldn't have done it without the Larry Fine book. The spreadsheet with all the models, shops and prices helped out so much. Once again, Thanks!!!!!

How much did you pay? Just curious.

I have no affiliation with Bluthner, I just like their pianos a lot.

We bought this piano from a special family. It was purchased in 1999 and has been virtually unused. The pedals still look untouched. It is a satin ebony finish. The family sold it to us for $10,000. Our RPT informed us that it needed fine regulation and tuning but was in good condition. I love it!!!!!!

Congrats! How do you like it so far?
I am also looking to buy a used Boston GP178.
One question I have is:
Is the 10 year's Boston warranty transferable from the previous owner to you?
My local dealer said NO. but I think he is pushing me to buy a new one from his store. But it is way beyond my budget.

Congratulations on your new piano!

Boston is on my list of possible pianos. I'd love to find a newer used model.

I love Boston pianos

Congrats on your purchase, that GP 163 is a great instrument...I am jealous!

Have fun with it.
