The library of Piano Classics is one to consider - has a wide range of pieces at all levels.

What kind of a collection are you looking for?

I'm usually not a fan of giant collections because they are almost always poorly edited. I prefer leveled materials done by experienced editors.

I'm a late intermediate adult pianist taking lessons with a teacher whom I like but is not classical in emphasis. I'm looking for graded/leveled material that I can bring to lessons to work on with her along with the pops which we also do.

You can try the last four levels of Celebration Series. Wonderful collection. Extremely well edited.

What do you think of the Festival Collection Succeeding with the Masters?? How does it compare to Celebration?

I don't like some of the editorial suggestions in the Festival Collection. Otherwise, it's quite solid. Both series do a great job combining the familiar with the not-so-familiar literature.

Hmmm not sure what is meant by editorial suggestions... selection changes? ...selection choices?...fingering?

Addition of slurs and staccatos in Baroque and Classical pieces. Some fingering as well.

Succeeding with the Masters volumes 1 have arrived and do a nice job of explaining the eras’ characteristics with accompanying pieces and cd.

Another problem with "giant" collections is that the binding is often inadequate.
