I notice that several large stores are out of the Roland HP series (e.g. Thomann) and they're being heavily discounted elsewhere (Anderton's, Gear4Music).

It's been three and a half years since they came out, so surely time for some new models.

Or have the HP models been completely replaced by the expanded LX-700 range that came out last October? The engines have tended to be the same between the LX and HP series in the past, so I'm not sure what the differentiators would be.

Cue wild speculation.

Regarding how "lightning fast" the LXs were availiable and how long Nordomus waited for potential replacement, maybe they dont have enough production ressources😅

What is Roland’s ensemble line now? My friend has a KR series that is dying, but she wants the drums and sounds.

If you buy any of the new HP’s or LX’s, you can use the free Roland apps (piano partner 2/piano every day) that connect via Bluetooth midi and give you drums and rhythms

I don't think they really have a one anymore. There's no more KR Series, but most models (excluding FP-10 and FP-30 I guess?) do have the General Midi level 2 instrument set and like said above rhytms are available via an Android/iOS app.
