I'm awaiting delivery of a 1967 New York S&S D. Meanwhile, I'm in the process of ordering a Schaff piano truck and the vendor wants to know the caster diameter on the piano. Does anyone know the wheel diameter and caster height for a standard 1967 New York model D? Thanks in advance.

No, 4014 in their catalog? The casters are usually removed, and the bottom of the leg rests in the square cups when using those.

Edit: just realized why they are probably asking. With the larger wheels that are on concert grands recently, the legs are shorter. A 1967 piano probably has the small diameter wheels, unless it was retrofitted at some point.

My memory says they would be either 1.5" or 1.75" diameter wheels on the casters.

Gentlemen:

Thanks for your collective response. I emailed a picture to Schaff and they figured it out.
