Hello,
here is a piece for solo piano containing my first real attempt to compose a waltz, second theme. It would be nice if you could give some feedback, criticism or just an impression.
Greetings,

Nice moody piece! The first minute is in 4/4, then you switch to triple (waltz meter). Later you switch back and forth and for me the shifting meter causes it to sound disjointed. I realize this is deliberate and that you're trying to contrast melancholy and joy, but I didn't get which section was which so apparently the contrast didn't work for me. The whole piece sounded moody and as such it was enjoyable. Sometimes the name or intent of a piece isn't what we end up with. If you just named the piece Shifting Moods I'd call it a nice piece. I guess my gripe is with what you say about it and not the piece itself. Go figure!

Thank you Steve for your feedback. Yes, title seems to be essential, maybe better to avoid title, just call it piano piece number... but one wants to draw some attention too.
Actually valuable input you give me. Thanks again

Kjell
