After all these years finally I feel satisfied with the tuning of my 2005 Kawai RX2.
Although it has been 10 months over the last tuning I wanted to share the recent recording I made and hear your comments as well (excuse the wrong notes)

Please listen with headphones. The volume is low.

Sounds nice to me. Thank you for playing and uploading the Liszt transcription of Schumann's Widmung. Lovely.

A bit difficult to judge based on merely the music played... It Definitely sounds close.
Beautiful playing by the way.

I did think I detected a little bit of a roll to a couple unisons in the mid-treb range- but not really enough to notice.

Would like to hear the Octaves, Double-Octaves, 5ths, 4ths... And also the 3rd progression starting at F3/A3 up to C#4/F4. That would give us a bit more to pick-apart wink

All in all, certainly think it is acceptable (a nice tuning).

Here is a video I made showing the F3-A4 temperament intervals.

There are some fast 5ths here and there, and a few less than solid octaves... Unisons could be tighter (but that comes with more and more practice)... Overall, it sounds like a relatively good tuning to me.
Again, the playing was certainly beautiful. One does not necessarily require a perfectly tuned piano to make music when one plays that well smile

Thank you Rick, Iluiscl for the kind words. I am glad you mostly liked the tuning.

Here are a couple notes just listening to it. G3-B3 3rd sounds like it speeds up a hair too much and the G#3-C4 sounds about right compared to the F#3-A#3 third. The C4-E4 third sounds a bit slow, especially comparing it to the C#4-F4 third, there is a little jump there. The A#3-D#4, C#4-G#4, E4-A4 fourths are a bit fast compared to the others. F#3-C#4 fifth sounds a bit fast. A lot of your octaves sound a little wider than a 4:2 octave. A lot of unisons don't sound clean to me, but that seems to be a personal preference. I listen for clarity when I tune and I think rolling unisons can take away from that, but it depends on where the piano is being played, (small room, concert hall) and how much of a roll the unisons have.

I'm being very picky though, keep trying to push yourself to be better and better!

The playing sounds great!

Cheers
Lucas

Thank you Lucas for the detailed reply.

Here is another excerpt from a conservatory teacher's recent recital where the piano was tuned with the same app.
It is an encore after a long recital so some unisons might have drifted a bit. Also the sound quality is not good but anyway it might give you an idea.
