Hi all, hoping to find some recommendations for my adult daughter who has decided she wants to get back into piano after stopping in middle school. She is particularly drawn to the folk songs and asked if I knew any books for those, so I am here asking you! Any other recommendations for a good adult beginner book series would be awesome as well. Thank you!

Can you say more about what you want? Are you looking for folk songs like Bob Dylan or like the Child ballads or the Alan Lomax recordings?

Does she want to accompany singers or play solo arrangements?

Perhaps the Readers Digest Songbooks would be suitable. I have ten of them and they're all excellent and have a wide variety of music in each.

She wants music she can just play (not accompany anyone). She likes songs like shenendoah, Scarborough Fair, Homeward bound, that sort of thing. Irish music too. I have a couple of folk song books with those songs, but they are too advanced, readers digest is a good suggestion.
