When I first discovered the avant-garde looking Sauter Vivace, I loved it. So I ran to the local dealer and asked when they would get one so I could try it out. It turned out that, although 210cm long, it is basically a Sauter Delta. The dealer said that they had two special orders for it in the past, one of which was in Maple satin. It was ordered by the owners of a large publisher as a present to the employees. Fast forward a few years, and my daughter (12) was going to play in a private venue together with her jazz band. I told them in advance which grand piano it would be, and the colour, but no one believed me.
It is rather uncommon, so I thought maybe some of you might endure a peek.

The Peter Maly series to me does not look so great in lighter coiour wood .That's just me perhaps.
I have seen this one in a youtube picture in black and it's fascinating.
The designer has made use of a Forte Piano shape and something almost avant-garde .
The dealer in Vancouver has these advertised online along with the Sauter Ambiant grand (about 7ft )I tried the Ambient grand ,really an amazing instrument ! That is my dream piano .
The design of the Ambiant grand almost has a Gothic look yet completely traditional ,all wood no metal legs .
Did your daughter enjoy playing this instrument?

The Sauter Ambiente is a wrapping of the Sauter Omega. Quite an eye candy in addition the lovely sound.

Yes, my daughter enjoyed the piano. She has been quite spoiled with choice of pianos to play, including Steinway B, Yamaha CF6 and C Bechstein B.

I saw a Beethoven styled piano by Sauter .It was designed from authentic sketches of Beethoven's piano. It is also I think as
you say a "wrapping of a Sauter Omega "

The Beethoven one was really nice but I think it was just a few that was made .,Perhaps for a Beethoven anniversary ?It had an authentic
wood finish and a genuine Forte Piano style .
The Ambient grand is as Skjalg mentions real eye candy .
In real life it's amazing ,sounds wonderful ,quite dramatic looking like
something from a Batman movie .
"Wrapping" is not really what I would call the Ambient. ,it's disign is too carefully thought out .
Especially for those who have the space and money!
(the pianist would need to be still young and glamorous or very handsome if it's a man)

That's a beautiful piano. It's a very intriguing design.

This particular piano would look better in different surroundings .The floor and furniture is the same colour as the piano and it is framed by an off yellow pillar .Even the light shades do not go together.
To set off the lines of this modern piano in this colour a different background altogether would be required .
One in black would show it off at its best in this background I think .

I agree these are vey well executed designs. Wrapping holds some negative connotation, that reflects my initial reaction when I realized that the piano was merely a design, and not a new piano as such. After I realized the quantities in which these pianos are made, it is forgiven blush

As for this particular Vivace, it is normally not situated in this large hall, but resides in a more intimate space. The off-white pillars are in fact just concrete.

Here is another picture in black. You can see the lines of the Vivace better.

Thank you Skjalg ,
The hall looks fine it just does not define this unusual piano as much .Very European designs !

The house within the central atrium is called Danskehuset (the Danish House), after the house of the original Danish publishing house Gyldendal. The architect was Sverre Fehn.
