I had seen this a while back, and came across it again tonight. It a nice piece from a couple of years ago in the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer. I thought I'd share it for everyone to learn a little more about one of our beloved professional contributors, Sally Phillips. (I hope you don't mind, Sally!! grin)

This article tells only part of the story of Sally. She has done just about every job in the industry over the years and everybody knows her. For instance, Sally was the head of Bechstein USA for a good number of years.

Go Sally!

Yes, that is an excellent news article and video about Sally Phillips, her career, her love of pianos and her charm and charisma.

The thing about Sally is that she is as nice as she is smart and talented when it comes to piano technology. I'd say she is at the very top of her field world-wide, as a concert piano technician, and I would not be exaggerating.

Also, as a personal friend of Sally's, I've seen some of her horses and I've played some of her pianos! Plus, she's a neighbor of mine, give or take 75 miles or so. smile

I met Sally a number of years back when she was with Bechstein. A first class, gracious lady in every way. Nice to see she is still doing well in her chosen profession. I greatly enjoy reading her articles in PianoBuyer and posts here on the forum as well.

Wait. I guess I just don't have the dashing and debonaire ways of the Rickster. I never got an invitation like that. frown wink

75 miles in the country is nothing! Of course, I don't mean 75 country miles. That would be a whole different story. wink
