Hi!
Belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It was so helpful to be a part of this group last year. Please sign me up again for 2019 MYOD.

My goal this year is to learn how to transpose music. Thank you!

Captain's Log Jan 10, 2018: Woke up in a hotel room due to a lack of water in the house. An emergency home repair collided with a long planned home improvement. Ack! Contractors everywhere! I laid out enough cash to buy a really nice hybrid piano. I am now going for my second beer. Practice ain't happening.

A lack of talent does not stop you from learning piano. It just takes longer and you have to work harder.

ClsscLib - I will add Jan 8 to your excused list.

Finfan - That sounds like a nightmare for practice! I will add Jan 10 to your list.

Add the 11th as well. It wasn't as bad as Thursday but still busy. Today we have a continuation of the planned project but I already managed to play my current lesson through a few times. Not much practice but still practice.

Please excuse me for January 8 - 11. I was on a work trip without access to a piano or keyboard. Happily reunited with my piano bench yesterday afternoon.

As a newbie to MOYD, if I miss a day (last Fri. Jan. 11) do I post here and relate the reason? I don't have a great excuse other than I pushed practice until too late! I've been making all days since joining on the 2nd however. It's already been a real help to do at least a little each day which I was not at all in the habit of before--thank you.

Finfan - I added the 11th as well.

MeganR- I added Jan 8-11 to your list.

ghazaleh - I added Jan 12 to your list.

Marcus NH - When you miss a day, you should come here and "confess" the reason. Then you go on the Back on the Wagon list.

torquenale - Ouch! I hope your hands are better! I will add Jan 16-17 to your excused list.

MH1963 - I will add Jan 13-15 to your list.

Suggestion -

Anyone on this thread is a person who visits Piano World with regularity.

Might I suggest that we all consider some financial support to PW? I get a lot of enjoyment from PW, and I sent my donation this week.

See the “Piano World is NOT FREE” thread at the top of the Adult Beginner forum.
