I forgot to answer your question to me of a few days ago of, "why Pianoteq if no bongos?" Well, because even though I don't hear bongos, I've always been particular about my audio, going as far as to spend many thousands on my system(s), tens of thousands of $s if I count over the last 30 years (see below amusing Reddit r/headphones cartoon from a few days ago). The FP30 just sounded like a toy piano to me. I didn't like the sound. It was demotivating to play. And my thousands of $s of audio gear was simply not un-toying the toy sound for me. The problem was with the sound generation in the piano, not my $1K headphone amp and $1K headphones. And when I started with the FP30, I had not yet discovered PW and this digital forum, but I did a lot of googling in my dissatisfaction. And although there were many VSTs out there, the only one I encountered offering a free trial was Pianoteq. So within 2 weeks, I was able to address my dissatisfaction and have transformed it into satisfaction with Pianoteq. As I mentioned before, Pianoteq makes me sound a lot better (of a pianist) than I am wink or I even deserve! LOL

Similar here. When I needed a digital on the side of my acoustic, I was tempted by Roldan FP-90, I hated the sound liked the touch.

I ended up buying FP-30, which has a fair action and Pianoteq 6. 1750 euros Vs 650 euros (including Pianoteq with instruments.

I then got decent headphones with an amplifier.

For me, the difference in price between FP-90 and FP-30+Pianoteq is not worth the price

Faraday cage, hehe. Yes, did notice you hadn't answered that...thought you might be trying to cover up a self--contradiction, so left it. Same kind of syndrome, different description then.
I've actually messed about with a bongo (aeons ago, for about five minutes)--A3 made it all flood back (for me). Some of these naysayers have probably never heard one up close...it's a fine reproduction, Roland.

EDIT--get a load of the gonads on that "chad", LOL

Tyrone - re: audiophile vs. music enthousiast - Decades ago in Los Angeles, the public radio station had a regular program "for Audiophiles and Music Lovers" - never the twain shall meet...

They say extra practice can make up for modesty of talent (up to a point) - I sure hope so...
