Jean Michale Jarre's Oxygene and Equinox albums are fixtures from my youth and helped breed my love for the possibilities of electronic music. The music was primarily played on an ARP 2600. Alan Pearlman was a much an innovator of synthesizers as Robert Moog, he just isn't quite the household name.

Respect.

ARP 2600 - two of them wired to together and customised to make Tonto, giving the highly individual sounds on Stevie Wonder's 4 great classic albums. Thanks to Alan Pearlman....afaicr, his intention was also to aid education and understanding of the new technology.
