It loads very quickly right now for me. It's 12:31 AM Friday morning here in Western Europe. It's Thursday 6:32 PM on the East Coast of the US and 3:32 PM on the West Coast.
I thought The Netherlands was Western Europe only to see that we observe Central European time. Oh well.

It may be counter-productive . . . but I'm putting a pause on my measly $2.50/month contribution til this stupidly frustrating issue is fixed.

Actually the Commodore 64 being used as the new server utilises 5--1/4" floppy disks, IIRC. Not cassettes. I know its rival the 800XL was available with a cassette drive....I had one, it took 20 minutes to load Pole Position. By the time it had loaded I'd lost interest completely. IIRC.

![[Linked Image]](https://c1.staticflickr.com/2/1738/27849516277_3a9d6a7ab4_b.jpg) I actually used to run a BBS on a Commodore 64.

But not on...a VIC20? Often caught masquerading as a C64, back in the day.

It's working fine for me in the Netherlands at the moment.
I'm guessing the gerbils have been fed and the wheels are spinning.

US web sites are run by squirrels, not gerbils.

It was fast overnight in the wee hours. It's now slow at around 10 AM.
I think this site runs the Dracula web server software. Fast at night. But when the sun comes up it hides from the glare of daylight.

I think this site runs the Dracula web server software. Fast at night. But when the sun comes up it hides from the glare of daylight. That's not been my experience here on the (Canadian) west coast. When it was slow - and the speed has been much better the last few days - I found that it was extremely slow in the late evening hours, PST. The rest of the world is sleeping at this time, so I don't think it was the glare of daylight nor user volume that was slowing things down at this time of the day. Regards,

I find that the site runs fine and quickly on my PC at work, but it's very slow loading on my ipad lately. It used to be the other way around.

Hope you and your family had a nice Christmas, Frank! I’ve been visiting Piano World regularly since April. Relative to all the other sites i visit, it has consistently had the most issues. Periods when it slows to a crawl, or completely comes to a stop. Any other site i try at these times runs normally. You honestly may want to consider a different host.

It has all the hallmarks...it's my suspicion that the Invaders are behind it. Someone should get word to David Vincent.

I think this site runs the Dracula web server software. Fast at night. But when the sun comes up it hides from the glare of daylight. There is an overall daily dip in worldwide web traffic, but it's caused by the Pacific Ocean. The Atlantic is small enough that the evening people in Europe and the UK overlap with the early birds in Brazil, so there isn't much of a dip there. But the Pacific is huge, and the island folks know better than to waste a nice sunny day on the computer.... ;-)

John, this is not a network congestion problem. It's a server or software problem.
