It's Fun to Play the Piano ... Please Pass It On!
Same piece, but recorded on my Sauter in less than ideal sound (dynamic range compression due to smart phone recording instead of the Zoom). But I personally prefer this performance, which takes a somewhat more relaxed tempo that matches the character of the music better (and with less clinkers too).

Hi, Wzkit! I very much enjoyed both "takes" of "Evocacion" -- you have a wonderful touch, and I think a good sense of style for Albeniz. Like yourself, I did prefer the second performance -- I believe it had a little closer fidelity to the structure of the piece, which, in spite of its fragmentary motifs, does have a predictable flow overall. Thanks for sharing these!
Thanks Tim and Noblehouse for the kind words. While this is probably the least technically demanding of the Iberia set, it is a piece that requires sensitive touch, pedalling (including and especially the una corda), and rubato in order for the performance to be effective and "evocative". Needless to say, a well regulated and voiced instrument is massively helpful too. I just hope I managed to do justice to it, but there's always room for improvement!
