It won't be hard to get a listing of most current (and legacy) VST pianos.
hahaha. there are a lot of VST pianos and many flavours of them also.
So many VSTs I didn't know existed, so just the list with Piano type and a few stats is really interesting.
But what attribute data are available? The manufacturers make wondrous claims, but don't often detail the very things we want to know. So good luck.
Not much comparable data. Some of the data is "misleading" based on what I remember reading here. Or just obvious fiction.
I've got over 80 different VSTs now in a database. There are 150 lines of data as some companies have lots of versions of the same instrument (especially: Production Voices, PianoTeq, Imperfect Samples). I am definitely missing some VSTs but this is enough for now!
Completed fields include: VST name, company, price, direct internet link, piano type, player software, security, links to a few reviews, a few comments.
I am taking a stab at some very basic technical data: recorded sample rate/bit depth, size in GB on SSD, layers, number of samples, mic number/type/positioning, pedaling, other features
I expect you'll want to solicit contributions from others?
I will need some help as the volume data is rather huge. Also, owners of particular VIs will be able to correct and add data.
