I came upon these transcriptions (many) decades ago, but the following thought never occured to me: to put them together as a 3 part 'sonata quasi una fantasia': Ernest Schelling: Prelude to act 1/ Karl Tausig: 'O sink hernieder, Nacht der Liebe'/ Franz Liszt: Isoldens Liebestod. It's possible, it has never been done, the question is: would it be worth the effort? It would amount to a 3-part more-then-20-minutes chromaticccissssimo piece of moderate difficulty for the fingers, but a brainsplitting pianistic nightmare, as for the audience: they should cope with it, as they would sit down 4,5 hours or so for the real thing.
