Now that was an interesting read-thanks for posting.

I remember listening to a interview with Dina Joffe (jurist) during the 2015 Chopin Competition, in which she lamented the fact that the lines between any schools of interpretation had been blurred in recent years. She referred to the influence of YouTube and how young pianists watch and mimic rather than interpret for themselves. (I paraphrase and simplify of course.) Also if I recall correctly, she spoke quite a bit about being a textualist. I have a vague recollection of a discussion about history of 'editions' as well. It was 3 years ago and hope my memory isn't shot.

With Youtube, I sometimes wonder if I am more familiar with Chopin's works than Schumann (e.g.) would have been or vice versa?
