It's Fun to Play the Piano ... Please Pass It On!
Hi all, I haven't been around for a while, but have a bit of time on my hands at the moment and thinking about learning a new Mozart piece. I'm looking for something a bit broody and wistful at the same time, and I came across the Adagio from K488 which seems to fit the bill. Has anyone here played it and if so, how did you find it? Is this sheet music arranged for piano solo any good (or do you have an alternative recommendation)?
Hi Cathryn You can’t go wrong with the Mozart! Another option is the Bach transcription of Marcello’s oboe concerto (BWV 974)
"Music, rich, full of feeling, not soulless, is like a crystal on which the sun falls and brings forth from it a whole rainbow" - F. Chopin " I never dreamt with my own two hands I could touch the sky" - Sappho

Thanks Dogperson. I have mostly completed the BWV 974, I jumped onto it when someone posted on here recently. It's heavenly, and the recording you posted is sublime, thanks! I'll see how I go with the Adagio - how is your Chopin Nocture coming along?
Have a great day. Cathryn PS not sure why my markup isn't working, sorry.
