Just curious why you don't tell us something about this piece. I understand the belief that music should stand on its own, but I myself have found that approach ineffective. You'll garner more interest if you tell us what the piece is about. I trust the video was made in an academic setting, you play the piano part quite well For those who don't know a bagatelle is a trifle and is not intended as a serious piece. This piece doesn't sound like a trifle and the composition is well crafted. I like the register changes around 2:45. You utilize the melodic character of the bassoon well and the harmonic shift you use at the opening is found throughout the piece (and has earworm potential). So overall I'd say this is a good effort and it's an enjoyable piece. I might suggest if you want a popular piece using more of the bassoon's honky and bouncy character and that might be more in line with a bagatelle anyway.
FWIW, I've come to like descriptive titles. JoelW is particularly adept at this. My glib side might suggest Eeyore finds a Turtle for this piece, but that could be a disservice to an enjoyable piece. Still it came to mind and was amusing enough that I couldn't just delete it.
Thanks for posting in the Composers Lounge.
