Hello, i can buy either Yamaha ydp s34 or P125 (including furniture and pedals) for the same price. Could you please tell what is the difference between the two. I only care about the piano function, the keys action and feel and the sound. So that it is as close as possible to the acoustic piano.

my other options in the same price range are Roland fp30 and Kawai ES110
Which one would you recommend and why.
thank you

Welcome! These are the entry level digital pianos of Yamaha, Kawai and Roland. None of them feels or sounds remotely close to an acoustic piano. A high-end digital piano might be a better simulation, but it will also not sound or feel like a real acoustic. You will only get the feel - but not the sound - of an acoustic piano on the models that feature a keyboard from a real acoustic, but these cost at least 10x more than the models you have on your list...

The Yamaha YDP34 and P125 have exactly the same keyboard action (GHS). The difference is the look: the YDP is a cabinet piano and the P125 is a slab piano like the FP30 and ES110. The Kawai ES110 has arguably the best sound of all these models. All of them have a noisy keyboard action and weak speakers, so you will need to invest in good headphones to get good sound quality.

But all of them are very good practice pianos and will serve you well until you decide to upgrade to a better (and more expensive) digital piano.

If you use the search box on the top left you will find many user reviews and comments regarding all these models.

Fear not. Those pianos will pass muster, all of them. Maybe the Kawai has the better sound somewhat, but the others will be fine and whatever you get you'll grow to enjoy. Best key action is in the Roland but the stand, pedal(s) would cost extra.

Both the YDP S34 and P125 have amazing sound for their price. The GHS keyboard action is weighted but bear in mind it is still lighter than the ones found on the higher end models of Yamaha, such as the GH3, NWX and GrandTouch actions.
