To save wasting anyone's time, if you don't have a Kawai "Concert Artist" model then you can skip this thread :-)
Basically I just received my new CA98 a couple of weeks ago (loving it) and the "Concert Artist" logo that appears on the bottom-right of the music stand has bubbled-up and flaked off on mine. I had to remove the remaining fragments because it looked so bad. I've never seen this on any other CA98 so I assume I just got a bad sticker on mine.
Obviously this is purely cosmetic, but I found a nice vector graphic version of the logo on the front page of the PDF manual and I was thinking of using it to get a new sticker printed that will hopefully stay on better than the original.
I forgot to measure mine before it came off and I'd like the new one to be as similar as possible to the original.
Are there any CA98/CA78 or similar owners who could possibly measure the width of their "Concert Artist" logos from the music stand?
Thanks a lot,
Charlie
PS: I love this thing, can't wait to play it each day!

I'm only a "former owner" of a CA model, but still: Can't you just ask Kawai support for a new sticker? Or alternatively a new music stand? (IIRC, it is just screwed on top with normal wood screw in the back, so should be easy to replace.) I will contact Kawai to see if they can supply a new sticker, but you know how it is with some companies, trying to get something so trivial can be a nightmare or they just say no. I certainly wouldn't bother replacing the whole stand just for a sticker. I'll see what they say, but in the meantime I might get a few stickers made and see which I prefer. I think they must have a few different finishes for these logos, I'm sure I saw a few models where the logo looked like it was painted or sprayed directly onto the music stand surface, you could even see the surface grain in the logo, however mine came with a logo made from some kind of plastic/vinyl sticker, which seemed to have air bubbles in the centre of it.

Why do you want the sticker? I would not mind at all if my CA98 had no such sticker :-) Anyway, its width is 7cm +/- 1-2 mm. Great, thanks arc7urus. Yeah I might just keep the sticker for if/when I decide to upgrade or trade-in sometime in the future. Some people might want it to look like new :-) I'm fine with the clean look too.

On my CA95 the logo is painted on in silver paint, so a sticker might look a little strange. I make it 69 mm wide.
If it's a sticker on yours, maybe that implies you're supposed to be able to remove it.

Kind regards, James x Ah, I thought so! Frankly I would have preferred the silkscreen printing on my CA98, then there's nothing to flake off. I have sent 2 emails to Kawai UK asking for a replacement badge, but no reply so far (that was only last Friday though, so I'll wait a bit longer). James, would you have any contacts that might be able to assist? Thanks, Charlie

James, would you have any contacts that might be able to assist? I'm confident that that chaps at Kawai UK (which closes for weekends, by the way...) will respond to you, please be patient. Cheers, James x
