OP selfishdreamer Junior Member S Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 1	Hello Everyone, I'm in the very early stages of considering a DMA and I'm trying to put together a potential audition program. I want to choose music that I am very passionate about and that I feel very confident playing. After some deliberation and going through my past programs, I've come up with this list: Bach Partita #1 Beethoven Sonata Op. 90 Ginastera Danzas Argentinas Schumann Davidsbundlertanze I'd love to hear any thoughts or opinions on presenting this for a DMA audition. Thank you!

The Bach might be perceived as being a tad too easy. The Beethoven is challenging in many respects, but it isn't the best example of the "classical" style, if that's what you intend it to represent. The Ginestera would work if you can really play the 1st and 3rd dances up to tempo. The Schumann is a wonderful work, but is extremely long. You might do better performing shorter works by 19th century composers, including Chopin and Brahms. Do you have any French impressionist works in your repertoire? I suppose the appropriateness of the program depends, in part on the schools you will be applying to.
