A Winter Tale, Sz. 42, book 1, no. 3 from For Children, book 1 (after Hungarian folk songs) Bela Bartok

This piece evokes in me a solitary melancholy which is depicted by the added "movie"... The chilly somber emotion lingers in my mind as the sweet tone of the Baldwin slowly melts away.... towards the ending.

I really love this simple but emotive piece!
