I wish Roland would include both the sampled and modeled sounds in their pianos. It seems like all of their pianos have hundreds of tones; why not include the basic piano tones with the old sampled sound engine? Then everyone is happy, at least those who like Roland to begin with.

True that, strange they didn't. Kawai did with current models.

The RD-2000 includes both sound engines.

However, I agree that it would be nice to have this feature in the HP series.

Which Kawai models have modeling-only sounds? As far as I'm aware, they only use samples with modeling.

Yes but they have both old sound and new sound on board in new models.

Also maybe because another Roland employee claims it is NOT fully modelled and there is initial sample. I'm still confused honestly. If I find video with this claim again I'll link it for you. Anyway someone is either lying or does not know how this engine works.
From the sound and how it behaves I would say it IS fully modelled but I'm not completely sure.

I remember that video, and I remember letting the forum know that that rep was mistaken.
