I have a problem when i play a piano piece. I'm perfecting fast pieces, i try to play faster and faster. But with some parts of the piece, i want to play fast but when i play, i suddenly stop and repeat a part of that part. I know what notes and fingers i need to use, but i can't move the fingers and repeat continuously until i can play the part of that part. I can play the rest of the piece fast, but i only have a problem with parts. Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix this problem?

I think this question belongs in one of the several threads for pianists, in that the OP is not describing a problem with the instrument, rather with the hands and fingers of the performer.

I second Ms. Bells suggestion.

However, an action that has too high inertia, can tire your hands so much that sustained rapid playing is difficult for most pianists. Especially if the piece requires soft playing, fast.
