Hi All,

I am looking to buy a digital piano for my 8 year old.
With < $1000 budget I am looking at a new Yamaha DGX 660 or a slightly used 2011 clavinova clp-330 ($900).

Which one is a better choice for a beginner? Or is there another option for this budget?

Based on reviews I was leaning towards the clp but I am not sure what might be best for my 8 year old. Thank you for your help.

You're probably better off posting this in the digital forum.

Clavinovas are generally considered much higher end, all things considered.

the Clavinova line is generally better forndeveloping ‘piano’ technic. Is it in good condition?

If it's in good condition and the price is good, then there's no danger in buying it. Seven years old isn't that old if the instrument works fine.
