Evidently I'm searching for the wrong thing because I never get any meaningful replies in the search function.

I've played keyboards since I was old enough to reach them. And I've played the organ for probably the last 35 years or so as well. One of the things I appreciate about the organ is that there are multiple keyboards including a pedal board. It's so handy to play the bass with your feet and have your hands free for other stuff.

I can see the value in such a setup for a keyboard, maybe when gigging alone, or even some unusual stuff that might come up. But there are two things I don't really know. #1, what kind of pedal board would work well for this purpose? And #2, how would be the best way to connect that to a typical keyboard (or would you)? I'm already thinking I may start stacking my keyboards, Roland on the bottom, Casio on top, for some more diversity and ease of adding sounds. A pedal board would add even more.

FWIW, I've known of people who could actually play the melody on a pedal board while doing some really incredible stuff on the keyboards they used their hands for. I'm not quite that advanced, but I can still see the value in being able to play a bass line with my foot with my left hand for comping and my right hand for melody and some harmony, too.

Whatcha think? Neat setups I need to check out? Better ways to get it done?

Thanks!

I googled "organ pedalboard midi" and got 128,000 results in 0.46 seconds.
Here are the first three:

I'm thinking something more in line with gigging. Those are organ pedalboards, yes, but I'm not gonna be hauling those things around.

Not looking to build an organ.

I'm not actually familiar with any of those, but remembered that such devices do exist.

You definitely have the idea with those. You're right, pricey.

Have any of you actually used such a thing?
