The Debussy Recital is now open for submissions!

This recital celebrates the music of Claude Debussy, in this, the 100th anniversary year of his death.

There are no rules for this recital, except that the music should be by Debussy. Multiple submissions and duplicates are allowed.

Only an mp3 recording is needed to participate - videos are optional.

When you are ready, go to recitals.pianoworld.com to submit your recording.

The deadline for submissions is about 9PM Eastern US time June 14. The recital will go "live" as soon as I process the submissions.

Have fun!
Sam

Kind of a shame this is all annexed from the main forum, I'm sure the decision was taken for the right reasons but the themed recitals will likely suffer because of it, and it's not like there's many of them (three scheduled over the next year?).

Hopefully there'll be a good uptake!

I had nothing to do with the move - nobody asked me for my opinion and there was no public discussion that I am aware of. But I'm not in charge of anything - just a volunteer.

I regret that I'll not be able to submit the pieces I signed up for (Clair de Lune and Passepied from Suite Bergamasque). Partly for the same reason that I had to withdraw from the waltz recital. I'm also preparing for a concert in mid-June, and this takes all my practice time now,

I'm sorry to say that I haven't even looked at the prelude... too much other stuff to do at the moment...

Oh, heck, I'll dump my "Fille" in the group, even though it's an old recording. There aren't a lot of submissions.

You may submit as many pieces as you like. Duplicates are fine too.
