This gorgeous instrument was originally brought in for a recital by Angela Hewitt, and has evolved beautifully since then. The tone has become rounder, richer, and generally more complex. So different from the clean clinical stereotype of the Fazioli tone! The touch has also become lighter and more responsive. This recording was done in a single take, and I haven't practiced in ages, so please forgive the occasional slip or two!

That's an excellent performance for just 1 take!

Thanks for the kind words. Coming from a pianist as expressive as yourself, they carry weight (to me at least). There're slips which I wish weren't there, but I do wonder if a slightly slower tempo might have worked better

I haven't played this piece so I cannot comment on the tempo. But when I listened to your playing, I could feel the flow of the melody and direction of the music. It's really a pleasure listening to your playing.
