I think we have discussed one or two episodes of the show but, I just thought I'd give a shout-out to The Cunningham Piano Show. It's great and I really enjoy it.

Rick Galassini's associate, Hugh Sung, interviews various pianists of all ages, background, and experience levels. The pianists hand pick pianos from the Cunningham inventory to perform on. As a part of the interview they discuss their choice. They have showcased some amazing talented pianists and discussed their back stories. Check it out and subscribe to it. New episodes generally are posted on Fridays.

P.S. I hope you don't mind, Rich. I just wanted to raise awareness among the piano enthusiasts here on PW!

Great videos! Thanks for sharing. I have listened to other Hugh Sung videos for Cunningham Pianos but never seen any in this series. The combination of the personal interview, reason for selecting the particular piano, and the performance is a great idea.

I thought so too. It's also a great resource for piano shoppers. They can listen to quality recordings of various pianos and compare there general characteristics. What's the difference between a Bosendorfer 7' vs. a Yamaha, etc.

Thank you for the positive feedback PW friends!

Obviously, this takes a lot of time to set up, film, and edit, but the final result is (what we hope) is a very inclusive cross section of people who feel that music, and particularly piano, is very important in their lives.

Although some are professionals, many are not. I would love to know from those who have seen the episodes, would you prefer that we shorten or delete the interview portion? Is it unwanted or boring to you? Also, does it bother you that many are just students?

Thank you again for the feedback!

I actually enjoy the current format. The interviews are usually fun-but critical if the guest is a professional. Keep them coming!

I enjoy the variety in the format, and the variety in the levels of talent represented. All in all I think it's a good mix. I haven't seen a bad episode yet, so I can only think of things to "add to" what you're doing.

I think the show has lots of value for the broader "piano world" from several angles. That's why I wanted to bring awareness here on Piano World. Rich, you and Hugh work together so well on camera. Will we see you join in as an interviewer on some of the episodes in the future?

GC13, Rich and Hugh work together exceptionally well. Check out “the Piano of the Week” videos to tap some of Rich’s knowlage.

Why thank you Dave! As you know Hugh and I have been friends for years. it works easily. I just wish he were not so introverted. wink

By the way, I have not seen you in King of Prussia in a while. You must be a busy man. Stop by sometime. It would be good to see you.
