Hello,
I want to buy a new piano and I have narrowed to Yamaha CLP625/635 or Kawai CN 27/37. 1. Is it worth the extra $ to buy the 635 (1710$) or CN37 (1850$) or the CLP625 and CN 27 that are cheaper? 2. right now I am inclined to buy the kawai cn37 but only because of the youtube reviews. There aren't any Kawai showroom in my country, so I can only get it by order...Someone told me to buy the new CA58, but that's another 800$ and my budget is already stretched at maximum.
My piano playing sucks right now after years of not playing, but I want to get my dexterity back, so with your piano option, please give me some advice of what to practice to gain dexterity and boost especially my left hand and playing both hands together.

If you have the money, buy the CN37 over the CN27, it's not that much more and you get a better user interface and useful tools for recording to USB, and two extra little speakers pointing up from the top that give it more presence.

yes, I will choose from CN37 and CLP 635, but don't know which... I've read that the Yamaha has a heavier key than Kawai and with my untrained fingers I think I would like Kawai more.

If you've never played either of them you'll be happy with either of them, it's only when you start to compare them side by side that purchasing paranoia creeps in.

Also, I think I've said this before, but just in case I didn't, I suggest you also consider Roland. It's got the best key action compared to the models you're considering, and, personally, I also like the sound, although using a VST later on is a possibility on any of them, and the Roland wins as far as the action goes. You can get the Roland HP-601 which has their top action from Fly Music for a darn-good price, almost 200e lower than the CLP 635, or the HP-603A which also has their latest sound engine and slightly better speakers, again, for a very good price, but it's 120e more expensive than the CLP. If you haven't tested them, you should. The action is the best among your choices (that's my opinion, but it also seems to be the general opinion around here). The sound and the way the sound engine reacts is a matter of personal preference.

Personally i find that both tone and touch of the Kawai is better, more natural piano sound without stretching, the CLP635 just used the very old GH3 keyboard with additional let-off (almost non-exist). Though the piano tone of Yamaha is more enjoyable, warm and sweet, and the build quality of Yamaha is better
In 2 years: Casio AP250 - Kawai CN24 - Kawai CA65 - Kawai CA67

yes, I know the HP603, but I don't like it. This one I tested and we didn't click Now I am upgrading from FP-30 Must admit to not liking the 603 myself, until I whacked it up loud. then it came into it's own. Small profile, too for the smaller room. I'd probably get the CLP 630 and saw three inches off the back . . . ..

Great choice. I was in the same boat and bought Kawai CN39 in white color instead of CLP 635. Over the headphone they both sound same but kawai felt better on keys.
