Absolutely lovely. It's a treat to hear music "live" and to enjoy a beautiful melody. I'm so tired of synthesized "music" which relies on impossibly fast cascades of notes and ignores any sort of coherent structure. Here your awareness of classical form supports the subtle modulations of key and melody which is the mark of a serious composer. Good job! Thumbs up! whome wow

Thanks for your feedback, I'm really happy you liked it this much:) I Tried to stick to classical voice leading and modulation as I prefer it the most.

This was excellent, and I agree with TheHappyPianoMuse that hearing the music live is so much nicer! My hat off to the composer as well as all of the performers.

Might I ask where this was recorded, and what camera, recording device was used?

Don't you think by the way that it's too short?

Yes, it would be interesting to see how you would develop this. The instrumentation is brilliant producing a fantastic sound. But the other instruments than flute are just supporting, a rather unusual way to utilize the piano for example.
I guess if you prolong this, you would either let the other instruments take the lead role or presenting some contrasting theme.
Do you plan to make it longer?

I would definitely love to hear how this goes on. It gives me the impression of a very first part of a huge and important work, which I would listen to over and over again. Touching...

Thanks for the compliment. Indeed, my plan is to make a 3 part composition, and this one would be the second movement.

And how were the microphones placed and mixed? The clarinet is nearly lost, the flute perhaps too prominent?

Kudos to the page turner! Sorry, just being glib. It's a nice pretty piece, but if I was the clarinettist or cellist I'd be wondering why you couldn't give me a more active part. This piece is based around a basic chord progression and doesn't do much with it. It stays in the same register and dynamic range and the harmony is not at all adventurous. Mendelssohn could have composed this piece. Nothing wrong with that, but it IS almost 200 years later. Again, you've written a nice pretty piece, if your plan is to make this a middle movement I'd suggest starting the 3rd movement with something fortissimo,... just to wake up anyone who dozed off.

You got me to listen twice so that's positive. On second listen I realized you had the flute play the melody in the bottom octave early in the piece and it's all but inaudible. If you revise this piece that would be a perfect opportunity to give the clarinet or cello something more substantive. I would do more of that, give away some of the flute parts to some of the other instruments so that your melody gets heard with different perspective and emphasis. While you're at it find a way to add just a bit of crunch to the harmony, nothing nontonal just some nice suspensions and added tones to give the piece a bit of dramatic arc. One suggestion find a spot where your piece resolves to a certain note then added that note 2 bars earlier where it's dissonant then have the piece resolve to it.
