Hello.

If you are interested in comparing the different tonal qualities of a Yamaha, Bosendorder, and Steinway pianos, you might like this video on YouTube. I’ve been listening to pianos on YouTube for years - this is excellent, seems to me the most true to sound in real life.

The pianos are concert grands. And the Bosey is *The Imperial*. (I played one at Cunningham's in Philly. It's a "Wowzer".)

The clip is called “Concert Grand Comparison” posted by “Synchron Stage Vienna”. Stefan Menl is the pianist.

This may be an enjoyable way to spend a few minutes of time.

Individual samples may vary, so you should get several of each!

Eventually, after another listen or two, I will decide I prefer one or another...but you couldn't go wrong with any of the three. (I tend to view a home piano as more of a tool for getting your work done than an ultimate object of desire.)

To some extent I think the choice will depend on what type of tone and music you prefer. Listening for a second time I started to change my mind a bit and would no doubt do it again if I repeat the exercise. And I don't think the samples played were particularly suitable for demonstrating the differences.

I'm sticking with my 'D' - no regrets. (I think it is probably the most versatile of the three)

Each of the three pianos had their distinct qualities. You couldn't go wrong with any of them.
