Just wondering if anybody uses this website to purchase sheet music. I use my ipad with forscore ,but if I use sheetmusic direct to download music would i be able to share the sheets onto forscore app or would I only be able to use sheetmusic direct on the ipad only using their own downloadable ipad app. I want to mainly use it for later pop sheetmusic.
I dont understand why sheetmusic direct charge more money to download digital sheetmusic to their app when its cheaper to just print it off, but unfortunately i dont use a printer.

I've never used Sheetmusic Direct, but I notice it's Hal Leonard. If you just want electronic sheet music and no printing, you might be interested in Scribd. Hal Leonard makes a huge chunk (maybe all) of their sheet music library available on Scribd, although the presentation is a little goofy because they treat it as a "book" more than sheet music. Unfortunately, it looks like you'd be stuck with the Scribd viewer. But if you wanted access to lots of music it might save you some money.

Also, if it's cheaper to print from Sheetmusic Direct, couldn't you just purchase the cheaper print version and then "print" it to a PDF and transfer it to Forscore? That seems to always be an option in Mac and Windows these days.

I haven’t used Sheetmusic Direct, but I *have* purchased quite a lot of sheet music from musicnotes.com. I used to print the file, but now I simply choose the ‘save as PDF’ print option. The PDF can then easily be sent to forScore - no apps involved.

Their site has changed quite a lot over the years. It used to be that when you purchased the music that you had just two print attempts and no way of saving as a pdf for future use.

It's changed now though and I believe that you can save some sheets as PDFs (which you'd then use on forescore)

How you know which ones are available as pdfs and which are available just to print isn't immediately clear to me though.
