Hi,
I just purchased the FULL version of Garritan Abbey Road Studios CFX piano, I'm completely excited about the software. The grand piano sound is simply beautiful, but even more beautiful is that you can play wonderfully dynamically and play practically every last touch dynamic.
Please do you have any presets/settings to share? Thanks so much.

From another thread: I think the default “Full - classic - default†preset is great as it is, with the following modifications I also used to apply to CFX Lite: - Enable partial-pedaling - Change the stereo image from "audience" to "performer" - Disable the limiter (according to some people it causes problems although I haven't experienced those) - Turn down the pedal noises knob to the first non-zero value. Basically this means turning it all the way to the left and then a bit to the right as little as possible. - Apply My repedaling fix

Congrats on your Garritan CFX. There is a preset in the description of the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upc7vUf2_2gIt's based on the Jamamatsu preset in the player position. CyberGene: What do you mean by "close" preset? I don't see "close" anywhere on the interface. Do you mean Player Default?

These days I use the CFX Full with mid-sized monitors at:
- Preset >Full>Classic>Default
- Enable partial-pedaling
- Change the stereo image from "audience" to "performer"
- Disable the limiter
- Apply "CyberGene" repedaling fix
- Reduce "Room/Release volume knob to 10 O'Clock (keep other knobs in Piano tab at 12 O'Clock)
- No reverb or EQ
==> You may want to mess around with the velocity curve and dynamic range (it seems a fair percentage of users keep default velocity curve. and a fair percentage of users tweak dynamic range).
==> For max computer performance you may want to adjust "Max Engine RAM Allocation" and "Inst. Disk Pre-Caching" in the advanced window. Then in tools>preferences, set optimal "sample rate" and "buffer size"
- When using headphones, I reduce Ambient mic slider slightly

On my Mac Mini with 16 GB I have changed the Max Engine RAM allocation to 8 GB, but not sure if that helps though. I am currently using the Apogee Groove USB interface because it (just) generates enough volume for my HD-650 headphones set at max volume. The builtin audio output is not loud enough for the HD-650. However it is loud enough with my HD-595-s but those are just a tiny bit brighter than the HD-650 and for that reason I find the slightly warm and dark sound of the HD-650 better for CFX and my taste. With that in mind, I've kept an audio buffer size of 128. I've tested it with 64 and it works almost flawlessly, unless I start banging with may two palms in a mad hectic manner and sustain pedal pressed and after some time I can hear some slight clicks. This is almost unrealistic scenario and I wouldn't ever play like that for any reason but just for a peace of mind I switched to 128 where I can't make it click in any possible way.

After testing CFX FULL few days ago I'm sharing with you my presets, I only installed the Compact version. I hope you enjoy!

Nor, thank you for making your presets available. I tried to load one but you are using a different version of Aria. How did you get it? Your version 1.933 is newer than my version 1.901.

It is easy to do and there are significant improvements to the software. Also you might consider the CyberGene pedalling tweak linked to above.

This definitely sounds more 'close' than CFX Lite but it's strangely also less realistic to my ears. Could be the playing though ...
