As many of you know we count on advertisers to help support Piano World and the forums, along with the generosity of some of our members who have chosen to support us in one way or another (subscribers, donations, buying from our online store, etc.).
There is a more detailed explanation here Piano World is Not Free
Unfortunately attracting advertising dollars is getting to be more of a challenge every year. Marketing budgets are being trimmed and those responsible for advertising and marketing are expected to justify every dollar.
My job is to continue to make Piano World a viable and worthwhile place for our audience / members and to work hard to grow our traffic. It's something I work on every day.
One of the features of Piano World I keep trying to point out to potential (and repeat) advertisers is the popularity of our forums.
And that popularity isn't just measured by the number of registered members (over 89,000), or how many posts we have (2,689,872 at the moment).
I believe equally important is how many times posts are viewed, after all each view is at least one set of eyeballs.
So with that in mind, I'd like to share some screen captures of popular posts along with the number of views they have received (so far). Granted some are older posts, but that's irrelevant, they still come up in search results and still attract people to our site.
And those people often go poking around after they get here. The wide column is the thread description along with the number of pages it runs. The first set of numbers is the number of replies to the thread, and the last column is the number of views the thread has received to date.
And here they are, in no particular order...
