Could you share your opinion about this sound? Do you like it?

Don't you find a tonal resemblance with this one?

Not so much, the first one sounds quite artificial in some way. Which makes the hiss on it puzzling.

The first one sounds like a Roland. The second one like a real grand.

The fisrt one is the output of a digital piano : there is no spatialisation nor reverberation at all. Like the ear was in or very close to the piano.
So It is hard to compare it with the second one, which was recorded with room reverberation.

In the first (digital) recoding, I can hear clear resonnance (simulated or not ?) on some treble notes (like an aliquot resonnance), and the overall sound is quite pleasing, but very "mellow".

old Yamaha CLP 170, and looking for a new DP !

That's also my thought.
I like this mellow sound. And as clothearednincompo said, it's effectively a Roland DP that is played in the recording.
It is obvious that the real one is much better and fuller.
Anyway I find something similar in the tonal character and thought this piano (the real) is maybe the kind of sound Roland tried to capture

Northern England.
The first does sound like a Roland. The resonances are apparant, but reverb/echo is absent. There perhaps needs to be a balance between the two; many older pianos with decent reverb would sound better than that imo. But maybe the latest Rolands already have this feature. I'd've thought so.
