Just played with it a bit. It works fine on IE 11 on my PC. However, it would be nice if you could see the progress bar at the top without having to re-scroll back up.

I agree also with the progress bar, but it's not a showstopper And I do like the layout better from an iPhone 😊

Well done, this is great! I've tried it out on Chrome on the PC and on Safari on the iPhone. I agree with the point about the progress bar, but also that that's a small point. I love that you can re-arrange the order, and delete tracks, though on the iPhone I found myself doing both by accident at first :-)

Hooray, this is great! I enjoy playing the recitals at work but haven't be able to as we block flash due to security risks. This makes me happy!
The only comment I have so far is when you hit the "expand/contract to window" it stops playing and loses its place. Not a big deal, but could potentially be solved with a cookie or something.

looks nice (I tried it in Chrome ) and spotted that too. Hooray, this is great! Not a big deal, but could potentially be solved with a cookie or something. if it spews our free cookies that come out of my PC CD tray at the press of a button and fixes it, I am all for that too ! yum yum.

Oooohhh! I love it, Sam! Especially the larger print and controls, which is infinitely easier on my middle-aged eyes. Thank you so much for putting the time into programming this! (Note to everybody else: Y'all probably realize this already, but Sam is the true unsung hero of the recitals. Mahlzeit made the enormous contribution of writing the first version of the software, but if Sam hadn't been around to take care of all the updating and trouble-shooting as the PW site evolved and servers/software changed, the original program would've stopped working long ago and the recitals simply wouldn't have happened. Thank you, Sam!! )

I like it a LOT. I am using Ubuntu with Firefox browser. The player is visually nicer, easier to read, and just appealing. I did not find any flaws in its functioning. Well done, Sam!

I get "double numbers" on Firefox.
"1. 1. Title here..." "2. 2. Title here..." This is a feature, not a bug :-) The first number is the order on your current playlist, and the second is the base order in the recital itself. So when you load they are the same, but if you reorganise it on your playlist the first number will show your re-ordering. If you reload in your browser it will revert to the recital ordering,

The new player is great! Thank you. BTW: actually the whole concept of the recital is brilliant

I just tried it on my now-ageing MacBook Pro using Firefox and it worked perfectly - MANY thanks, Sam!

Well, I hate to destroy everyone's high opinion of my skills, but I bought this code (for a pittance) and adapted it to work with our recitals. In my youth I would have stubbornly forged ahead and tried to reinvent the wheel and do it all myself - in my retirement I would rather play piano!
Now that we know it seems to work OK I'll automate it so that when a recital admin finalizes a recital it will be created automatically like the old one.
I can retroactively make new players for all the old recitals too without much trouble. Any interest, or are they old news?
Sam

I love it also. Very easy to use. Only wish it could show the YouTube Videos simultaneously! Btw your harpsichord video was uber-cool!

This is really awesome. Thanks Sam.
Monika, do you think you could include this player in the recital post alongside the flash one?

Monika, do you think you could include this player in the recital post alongside the flash one? That's the plan - although it's not trivial. I delayed doing it until after this recital went live so I didn't interfere. I'll replace the flash player with the new player, hopefully before the next recital... Sam

This is awesome! I couldn't listen to the recitals easily on my phone before, and now I can, so I love that! Thanks Sam!
next, would you make a practice logging app since Music Journal is obsolete now?
