Hello, I will be playing piano for Yo Yo show. I need to find some pieces to play while the players are performing on stage. Can anyone recommend some fun short pieces that would be appropriate?

Thanks,
Joe

Hi joe
It would be really helpful to know your skill level, so that people could provide suggestions that would be appropriate. Are you looking for classical or nonclassical?

Here is one: kabalevsky Galop
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TkiGTCSCDBA

And another: Burgmuller Tarantella
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-OZkB98nmns

If this is not on the right track, let us know so you will not get a lot of responses that are not appealing

How about some silent movie music? You might find some good material here.

Can the performers point you to videos of previous performances? Could you improvise something that moves in sync with them? Run down a scale as the yo yo goes down, trill at the bottom, back up as it rises, something like that...?

There are several spinning songs: Burgmüller, Mendelssohn, Gretchen am Spinnrade, Le Rouet d'Omphale.
