Wasn't aware that a new Yamaha YDP was in the works, anyway Costco Canada will be selling the YDP-184 at the promo price $1, 999.99 + taxes, delivered, between Nov. 13 - Nov. 26. The Costco regular price will be $2,599.99. These prices are in Canadian dollars.

Looking at the specs it seems to be a decent novice dp designed to resemble the CLP series rather than the Arius line. Action is the GH3 with the main "voice" being the CFX.

Weird. In some ways it's even "better" and more expensive than the cheapest Clavinova. And it doesn't appear yet on Yamaha's own web sites, but the User's Manual is available.

Interesting. So the main change seems to be the CFX sound engine... GH3 is already in the 183. Other than that?

Shigeru Kawai SK-2, etc.

VRM (Virtual Resonance Modeling) is new for the Arius range. The previously top-of-the-line YDP-163 just has damper resonance. And of course YDP-184 is the first Arius to have a "Clavinova style" body with the front legs and the more advanced control panel on the left side.

Actually the high-end Arius models (YDP-x6x and YDP-x8x) have had Clavinova styling for well over a decade. The main difference is that the Arius line offered fewer finishes, those generally being the cheaper, non-polished ones. The result is that the high-end Arius is functionally very similar to the low-end Clav ... making the Arius a good buy.

The OP says that Costco/Canada is offering the 184 at $2000 CAD holiday special ($1560 USD), rising to $2600 CAD thereafter ($2030 USD).
Will it be offered in the US at those prices?
