I've been using this little light guy for gigs & I've been very impressed with it's sound (minus organ). Granted I had to bring in APs & EPs from third party sources but the action pretty good for a "lightweight". I prefer the action of the RD-800 but it's a heavy beast.

It's popular with gigging keyboardist, not typically the pick for home digital piano.
It's excellent value for the $. Excellent collection of sounds, expandable via flash memory cards.

The issue isn't "love" -- it's cost-effectiveness.

The MOXF8 sells for $1,700. No speakers, GHS action, AWM2 (Expanded Articulation) sound engine. The AWM2 sound engine goes back to the SY77 (released 1989), according to this official website:

https://europe.yamaha.com/en/produc.../synth_40th/history/chapter03/index.html

The Yamaha P115 sells for $600. With speakers, GHS action, "Pure CF" sound engine (which I think is much newer than 1989).

So, if you want a _piano_, the MOXF8 doesn't make much sense. If you want a flexible gigging keyboard with weighted keys -- that's a whole other story, and the MOXF8 starts looking very attractive.

PS -- there's a thread, here, about the "Pure CF" sound engine:

MOXF8 has some very nice piano sounds, they have a bunch you can download into it if you have a flash expansion card. It's not the best action you can get at its price, but it does give you a whole bunch of other functionality, an relatively light travel weight. It's a great board.

I was struggling over the MOXF8 or the CP4, since it would be used for weekly bar gigs the weight factor (and multi sound engine) won over, for the corporate black tie gigs I still use the RD-800 & the NE5. That being said, the MOXF8 is not too shabby but yes there are other boards in the same price range that excel in weighted action & AP sound.
