Your best bet would be to hire a practice room in one of the piano showrooms, like www.jspianos.com which is near Hyde Park. Only the most expensive suites in the most expensive hotels (like the Savoy) have pianos in their rooms.

I think Bennevis is right. I once bookmarked an AirB&B ad for a room in a flat that had a grand piano. I had no plans to go to London, but it just seemed so great that I had to mark it. When I went back to it earlier this year, the owners had added a note: the grand piano is not to be played! I suspect they got more piano enthusiasts coming to their flat than they had bargained for.

Thank you Bennevis and JDW. I will book a practice room since I plan to stay around Chelsea. It should work. I wonder if there's any good piano events in London at that time. I know I already missed London piano meet up group's event by a couple of weeks. This is not a carefully designed trip. It was one of those spur-of-the-moment decision to get away. I was working 80 hours a week for a month. It's crazy. I don't even want to talk about it. I finally told my boss " I quit!", then my boss talk someone into moving to Phoenix to relieve my workload.

By all means, attend a concert at Wigmore Hall, and don't miss the Royal Albert Hall, if you can.

I agree; we did see a show at The Wigmore - the Vijay Iyer Trio. Highly recommend.

Hi I'm finally preparing for my trip to London. My flight is tomorrow night. I saw somewhere about music stores or book stores where they sell interesting or scores very unique to England. Here's my list. Can you recommend a place where I can likely find some of the scores listed here.
Malcolm Arnold Buccaneer (Lengnick) Sonata (1942) (Robertson) Variations of a Ukranian Folk Song (Lengnick) Children's Suite - Six Little Studies, Op. 16 (Lengnick) Arnold Bax Lullaby (Murdoch) Toccata in Db (Murdoch) Frederick Delius Three Preludes (Oxford University Press) K Sorabji Two Piano Pieces (Oxford University Press), includes "In the Hothouse" and "Toccata"

There was mention of a few classic stores on the thread that I linked to above. Maybe that will help.
