Can you guess this piece from a single note?I got 6/10. It made me feel like there is a lot of music I don't know.

Great, I love such quizzes! Although several were extremely difficult... There must be more pieces that are recognizable by their 1st note. 8/10, with lots of lucky guesses.

Blast, got the first one wrong; 9/10. The key signature is a big clue for a lot of them, the clef for some, and others you just have to know the piece, I guess. BTW, they aren't all (or predominantly) first notes; some are single notes taken from inside the piece.

9/10! Most of it was process of elimination, so therefore I shouldn't have missed the 3rd one.

8/10.
Guess I had the wrong idea about a key in which a particular piece was written. But plenty were through elimination.
My grand piano is a Yamaha C2 SG. My other Yamaha is an XMAX 300.

9/10. #5 is impossible IMO -- not even a clef to go by! I got #10 right, but totally by a process of elimination and I couldn't even find the note in the piece that it's supposedly from when I checked it out afterwards. As for #8, total guess! (Are there any operas that don't have a C or an E in them?)

(Are there any operas that don't have a C or an E in them?) I think they cheated on #10 because it's clearly not in the right key. I assume it's supposed to be bar 226.

Wow that's hard! My wife can do name that tune for 60's-90's rock and pop in generally one note, but that has tone, sustain, etc. To just guess on a sheet of music that an Eb is this or that piece is crazy!

I got 8/10, I don't know the overtures and operatic works. But most of them it was enough to know the key.
