One more day until the recital opens!!! How many people are hitting that Red Dot today? After 9 Einaudi submissions in a row, I thought I’d mark my 10th Recital with one of Satie’s Gymnopedies (just to show that I *do* sometimes attempt the music of more than one composer). But will that mean no Einaudi in this Recital?! Carlos? Anyone?

I did a recording session yesterday... not good enough! First take was without mistakes but with a big hesitation and poor expression overall. Subsequent ones were better musically but increasingly littered by mistakes until I forgot the piece entirely

Anybody know how to make music fade out to nothing using Audacity? I fear I may not yet be able to play the ending of my piece by the deadline, so, I thought maybe a gentle fade out just after the introduction might go un-noticed! BTW, don't tell anyone, keep it a secret!

Edit - I read through the whole thing just now. Just after the 'introduction'?

Or for more control over how you fade out, select the portion you want to fade out, go to Effect tab, and scroll down to "Adjustable Fade". In the window that opens, you can either play around with some of the parameters or simply go to the bottom and select one of the Handy Presets. "Exponential Out" is one of my personal favorite presets.
