I'm thinking to buy Roland CM-30 CUBE Monitor to use it as a keyboard amp.

Since it is only one unit-one speaker, I suppose it won't going to be a stereo amplification, am I right?

So if I connect it to my audio interface to hear myself control Pianoteq, should I turn Pianoteq to Monophonic mode?

Is this for home use or for gigs? If for the latter, it may suffice if it's just you and you're not in a large venue. It's very convenient to carry. But for home use, I highly recommend getting a pair of good powered monitors.

I've always just put my stereo signal in there, never tried Mono, but that might be a good idea.

haq01, If I were you I would deffinetly get a pair of the cube monitors. Mine are hooked directly to my piano and it sounds pretty empty using just one in mono but it sounds pretty nice using two in stereo, but you might like the sound in mono, some people do I do not.

I wanted the Roland CM-30 CUBE Monitor for ultra portable setup.
Not only for keyboards, I play guitar also and I can connect a guitar amp modeler to it.

But if I'll have it, I will probably want to use it for home usage occasionally.
Too bad that I'm understad from you two that mono for home usage is sucks, not only that two monitors is twice the money, I have no room left for two monitors that stand on the right position.

If you can afford it haq01 roland has the BA-330 stereo pa. It has 4 channels 4 speakers is 30 watts and you can lay it back or pole mount it, but it cost 600 dollars and you probably have to purchase the electric cord separate since it runs off batteries. I was looking at this myself in the Sweetwater catalogue. If you want to check it out go to sweetwater.com and look under portable pa systems. Its a self contained unit.

Yes, I would expect so. However it's probably best to experiment with the different output modes to see which provides the best output quality.

Kind regards,
