I have Pianoteq 5 Standard, which has lots of options, settings and presets. However, I can't seem to find how to transpose to a different key. For example, I have the sheet music for a piece in the Key of G, and a recording of the piece that I'd like to play along to, but it's recorded in the Key of F. So, I'd like to transpose what I'm playing down one whole step.

Can someone explain how that's done? (The command must be in there somewhere....)

Of course I could raise the key of the recording from F to G thru software, but it just doesn't sound right that way. And I'm sure that some will say that I should just learn to play the score in F instead of G. All true...but this is part of a course where I'm learning specific chord progressions. I just want to add a little context to what I'm learning by accompanying the recording with the chords assigned in the course.

I just did a search and came up with this link:

If you scroll down or search the page for "transpose" it will take you right to it.

An alternative:

. . . You might use the "Transpose" function of a MIDI editor.

"Speedy MIDI" and "MIDI Translator" have that function.

But if it's built into Pianoteq, not much reason to use anything else.
