OH MY-- if Graham Fitch would only provide video feedback! I would be the first sign-up.

I just signed up for this FREE course which covers an introduction to Classical Music in general. It begins later in May, but you can sign up now. I learned most of this in high school music classes, but that was along time ago. Hope it gives me better appreciation for composers of each era.

Thanks for the heads up. I just enrolled. We'll see how much I do before I drop out.

Edit to add - I mean the free one.

I would be interested in your time commitment in actual practice time beyond the 2-to-3-hours per week class material learning in order to learn 2 pieces inside a 6 weeks deadline as you begin your class.

For me to learn 2 new pieces that's technically doable but still a challenge for me, I would probably need to practice 3-4 hours a day to learn them within 6 weeks to my teacher's satisfaction. Back in RCM 1-5, I was able to learned 2 pieces in 6 weeks practicing 1-2 hours a day, but not since RCM 5 (Beethoven Sonatina in F Major, Anh. 5, No. 2, I. Allegro assai).

You will enjoy it! Craig Wright's lessons are very interesting. I didn't do the assignments though, that's too time consuming.

I tried it last year or the year before, but didn't finish. Most of it is too basic for someone who's heavily involved in studying piano already.

I wanted to re-open this discussion and find out if anyone on here ended up taking this online piano course through Juilliard. If so, any reviews/feedback? I'm thinking about taking it next time it is offered again (apparently later this year in autumn).

I didn't take it, it was just too expensive (and a bit daunting). I will check back on their offer, though, in case they come up with something cheaper.
