Nothing really special to see in my case haha. It's in between our entertainment furniture and my table that's more or less my work space. But i still like it anyway. Some of the pictures i've seen though. My god even i have to admit to some jealousy haha

I just added a few touches to my piano room. I won't forget to practice my Bach now, ever again!

What is the music in the picture frame? It's Bach's 5th Brandenburg Concerto, main violin part.

Very nice sinophilia. So tidy as I have loads of music and stuff on top and around my piano, despite using iPad/forescore these days. The books are for sight reading exercises, not ready to donate them yet.

Is that a violin next to the piano in the red case? And what's in the black case? It's none of my business, of course. Of course you can ask! Yes that's a Stentor student violin, and the black case holds a beautiful second-hand saxophone. Then there's a clarinet, a trumpet and a couple of guitars, which you can't see in the picture I'm kind of collecting instruments that I will never play because I'm hoping that my partner will start to seriously study one. We soon found that the violin is out of the question, but she's quite good with the sax. If only she would find time to practice instead of just noodling around. I want to play duets! Some real musician please pop by!

No one loves his/her piano more than I do. I sleep with mine! If you must know, no, it doesn't make you play any better...

I used to have a queen size bed in this room (yes it was very crowded). Without the bed, the piano ('69 Kawai model 350) was a bit too loud, so I added the shag throws and the acoustic foam and that really helped. Partially finished clavichord on the right, if you were wondering... Hope to finish this summer... I blame the piece on the wall (by my friend and fellow motorhead Tim Raines) for my inability to practice slowly...

I just ordered two mouse pads. Great idea and will work perfectly! So glad we can learn so much from each other.

Mouse pads are usually intended to be put on a surface like plastic laminates or the like. Be careful with them, especially if you're putting them on a wood surface and leaving them in place for a long time. The backing material might stick to the surface or "soak in".

Thanks for the warning. Looking at it again, it doesn't look like mouse pads. It's too thick and too solid to be mouse pads. what are they? Wood? Plastics? Metal?
