Thank you Sam! The entire experience was a pleasure. From the start that included the factory tour and to the day the piano was delivered.

I'm not sure I understand the possibilities of the layout from your description, but, if it were possible, I would turn the piano (clockwise) so that the sound is projected into the room rather than towards the wall and corner as it now appears to be.

Regards,

Thank You!

Yes, that was my other option that felt more right, but didn't look as good. I'd have to still play around with it. No pun intended.

It looks absolutely stunning!
The all black and white contrast is indeed classy.

Yes, it is a gorgeous piano in a gorgeous room! I could never pull that off--- as the beautiful sofa would have dirty dog and cat paw prints in less than 24 hours....

I hope you will post a recording soon.

Since the piano has sold, the link posted earlier in this thread is now down. Here is a video demo of the Steinway that we made earlier this year.

Thank you all for the kind words!

My wife's an interior designer, so the piano meant another project for her! I can't complain.

I'm considering moving the piano slightly away from the corner or turning clockwise as suggested. Beginning to notice the sound being trapped in the corner.

Well originally she did! She did not like glossy black pianos. But satin/matte on the other hand, I believe are timeless.

Thank you! We'll see how it ages with the home. Or the family I should say.
