What can I do to re-install Cubase which I uninstalled some time ago and now I need a new re-registration code?
I still can not get from Steinberg. I wrote and nothing.
What kind of mail content could he help with this?
Has anyone had such a problem?

What version of Cubase?
There is a v9 trial available that's fully functional for thirty days.

If your installation is on the same PC as before, your registration might still be residing there as well.

The licences of steinberg products are quite sensitive to system change, for example, if you change anything in your setup like add/change a drive, upgrade an item, or upgrade the OS, it will likely see it as another PC, so you will need to register your licence before it will work again, That will not be a problem or incur any costs however. I've had to do this a couple of times since I owned the elements edition and it's not a problem, easily solved.

If you haven't already, install the latest version of the elicenser tool, you can check out the licences found on your system and run the registration again, btw, safest way to do this as a user with full admin rights on the system.

When reinstalling from a download, ensure the cubase version you are installing is the LE 7 version, the licence key will only wok for that version, not a later version or another edition such as elements or artist etc.

If you login to your steinberg account downloads links will be given for any licences you own, so for LE it is relevant you use that installer and not one of the public downloads for element or above since LE is not sold by steinberg as a single product, it's a special version that comes bundled with hardware typically, so if you got such a bundle then the original DVD will have the installer too and you could use that.

Yep, my Cubase stopped working a month or 2 ago (tbh not sure if I'd used it since Windows 10 arrived), and worked after downloading the latest elicenser.

Thank you Alexander Borro for your advice. I'll try to do, like you described when I back home at Saturday.
BTW - buying DAW for Windows 7, which one is on DVD? I think no problems with re-installations for future.

I think the problem is more about the copy protection than the media (DVD).

With Cubase, I have registered my product on the Steinberg site, then I am able to get new release (of the same version), if needed. I have also activated my licence on a eLincensor dongle, then my licence activation doesn't depend on the configuration of my PC. I feel safer like this.

I have also Reaper : it is far simpler : you can get the software freely from the Cuckos site (since the real and the demo version are the same). The activation is just with a file or mail which associate your email with a validation code. No check with the configuration of the PC : if you need to install it on a new PC, just get the software installer and the same activation file, you don't need anything more.
